About Me

What would it feel like to make decisions without second-guessing yourself? To set healthy boundaries without feeling guilt? To feel less stressed and have more time for yourself?

My early training in counselling consisted of a lot of work with anxiety, stress and self-esteem. These three presenting issues are often interwoven and connect to different areas in our life such as relationship issues, family issues and feeling stuck.

I specialise in supporting you to work with your anxiety. To feel more confident and develop your sense of self-belief. To be able to feel your emotions without them becoming overwhelming and needing to bottle them away. These are all changes my clients have been able to achieve.

My Approach

My unique way of working combines person-centred theories that value you as the expert in your life, mind, and body connection and psychoeducational evidence-based techniques from a compassionate lens.

You are a whole person whose thoughts, feelings and physical experiences are all connected. I will help you to develop your self-awareness to understand and process what has happened to you.

I offer both short-term and longer-term therapy and I understand how difficult it can be to balance your commitments, life and self-care. That is why I take a flexible approach to counselling. Sessions with me last 60 minutes and I offer a range of session times to fit in with your schedule.

Life is busy and that shouldn’t mean you miss out on receiving counselling. Whether you work shifts, a 9-5 or need sessions that fit around childcare, get in touch.

Training

My Training and Experience

  • I am a fully qualified counsellor with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
  • I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
  • As well as my work in private practice, I work as a counsellor for a local charity.
  • I am committed to my continued professional development and have completed training in working with domestic violence, domestic violence and substance abuse and LGBTQ+ counselling.
